Zadole Park was created at the beginning of the 20th century from the area of the Ligocki Forest. Initially, it belonged to one of the districts of Piotrowice. In the years 1906-1914 it was a meeting place for Polish choirs and musical groups operating in this area. In 2005, the reconstruction of this park began. Playgrounds and promenades have already been renovated. The rest of the park is currently being modernized. Currently, it is a recreation and nature park.

in the first days of World War II, the scouts of the Polish Scouting Association were to resist the Wehrmacht troops entering the city. The scale of resistance and the course of events are controversial, and the identity of the defenders of the parachute tower has not been established. Currently, the facility is a monument dedicated to all the defenders of Katowice, killed and murdered by the Germans in 1939. It is also the only preserved parachute tower in Poland. This object became a monument to the death of Silesian scouts[1]. (Wikipedia)
