The harbour is the heart of Nysted. Here you can feel the pulse of life. You are in the middle of the city and in nature. Nysted Harbour is located in the interior of Nysted Nor with a wonderful view over the Fehmarnbelt, the offshore wind farm on Rødsand, the old provincial town and Ålholm Castle. The harbour is on the south coast of Lolland. With NW and N winds, low tide is up to 1.5 m. In Nysted, with its old, lovingly preserved houses, you can feel the history and be filled with new energy. If you want to see something of the surrounding area, a bicycle is the best option. Bus: Line 730 Nysted - Nykøbing Falster

Fuglsang Herregaard is a listed manor house in a beautiful location. Located right next to the Skejten nature reserve, the magnificent building is now a hotel with a restaurant.

From the Skejten nature reserve there is a beautiful view over the green marshland to the Guldborgsund.

After crossing the meadow landscape, you enter an oak forest in the Skejten nature reserve with magnificent trees, some of which are up to 300 years old.

Nysted Town Hall was built in 1839 and enlarged in 1920. Today it is a two-story building with a three-part facade and a balcony in the middle. The glockenspiel, which chimes on the hour, has been around since 1987 and was donated by a former mayor of the city. A picturesque detail is the dial decorated with the coat of arms of the city. The town hall is currently used for exhibitions.
