Here you can learn about a part of Mecklenburg history. Sophie von Mecklenburg (1557–1631) became the wife of the Danish King Frederick II in 1572 and had her royal widow's residence in Nykøbing Castle (demolished in 1767) after 1588. She donated the Mecklenburg Ancestral Table to the monastery church. Furthermore, the church has an F.H. Ramus organ from 1858, a portrait painted by Lucas Cranach the Elder, and a carillon with 26 bells.

Unfortunately, the end point of the tour is incorrectly depicted; the accommodation is on Lolland. You have to cross the bridge near Nykøbing and then turn left onto a narrow cycle path. Soon after, you'll come to a narrow, low tunnel under the railway line. From there, it's about 4 km to the accommodation.
