Definitely a must-see when in Belgrade. After finishing the run, come back for a walk and spend at least 2 hours here. Although I am not into military things, the open air museum is definitely worth a first and a second look

Given the low-lying, sandy terrain and unpaved roads, some wider paths might be manageable with robust, all-terrain strollers. For the best experience with very young children, a baby carrier might be more versatile.

There are no permanent constructions or settlements, which means facilities like cafes or public restrooms are generally not available directly on the island. Visitors should plan accordingly and bring their own refreshments. During the summer, Lido Beach might have temporary facilities.
While Veliko Ratno Ostrvo is a protected natural reserve, it is generally accessible for responsible dog owners. However, due to the sensitive ecosystem and abundant wildlife, it is crucial to keep dogs on a leash at all times to protect nesting birds and other animals. Always clean up after your pet to maintain the island's pristine environment.
