One of my favourite stretches of road. On a summer's day it's beautiful. Best done heading away from Bath rather than towards as otherwise it drags a little due to the slight gradient and it being reasonably exposed to the wind.

One of the best climbs near Bath and much improved since its resurface. Very steep but benefits from a gentle flat-ish section halfway through. Save a little energy for the top on a windy day as the open plain up there is very exposed and it takes a while until you hit the downhill.

Nice and long descent after Bathford hill / the less steep up to the golf course from the other direction. Surface is good, long and straight so very safe. Check across to your right halfway down to look across to Monkton Farleigh Manor.

Bridge here can become very congested with cars during peak hours. If visiting to appreciate the scenery, try to avoid busy periods for the best experience.
