Village church of St. Ursula in Euba (Chemnitz), along the Saxon Way of St. James. Late Baroque building erected in 1796. Of importance for building history, local history, and the local townscape.

I love these lovingly designed entrance gates, which have a very personal feel and stand out from the standardized town entrance signs. Beautifully designed.

A somewhat inconspicuous spot is the turnoff to, among other things, the forest campsite. There's a fence directly under the bridge, but the gate was open. I hope it stays that way permanently. However, there's also a small detour you could take, which takes you a little further on over a bridge to cross the B174.

For a short stretch, the old B174 runs alongside the new B174. Only on the old B174 can I see all the way to Augustusburg in peace. The new federal highway is a two-lane bypass, so stopping might not be a good idea ;-)

By the way, you can now cycle well on it, even though there is no dedicated cycle path.

The title says it all... The new expressway has created a chic and fast connection between the surrounding area and Chemnitz, which makes the current old Zschopauer Straße look almost like a traffic-calmed side street.
