Actually more of a road bike route, but you can also make good progress here with a gravel bike and have a somewhat more relaxed ride.

The S1 line takes you comfortably from Oranienburg to Berlin city center on Friedrichstraße in 44 minutes. However, the line currently only runs every 20 minutes outside of Berlin. The local transport plans of the states of Berlin and Brandenburg provide for the creation of the conditions for 10-minute intervals on existing outer branches of the S-Bahn. As part of the i2030 – More Rail for Berlin and Brandenburg infrastructure expansion program, this goal is being advanced, and the conditions for increasing the frequency of the S1 line in the Oranienburg – Frohnau section to 10-minute intervals are being planned. Join us on this diverse tour to the Frohnau S-Bahn station and learn more about the planned expansion measures: https://www.i2030.de/.

The sky glows reddish over the Oder-Havel Canal, reflected in the water. The road was still quiet, allowing you to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

The monument to Huschke can be found somewhat hidden along a federal highway. On the corner of Clara-Zetkin-Straße/Granseer Straße, directly behind the Havel bridge. Directly next to junction 62. 🤔 Cannot be found on Google Maps. 🤷🏼♂️ A monument that should of course be visited during a bike tour. 🚵♂️

There's no longer a ferry here, so it's all the more pleasant to sit in the beer garden right by the water.
