A nice little harbor, which is at least mostly more sheltered from the wind.

The wooden bridge is partly rotten and partly has holes. You should really push your bike or ride carefully.

This level crossing (also known as a barrier = additional structural device at non-technically secured level crossings (BÜ) of footpaths and cycle paths) represents the shortest connection from the Theodor Storm district to the Kurmark barracks. These crossings have come under criticism due to crossing problems for electric wheelchairs, cargo bikes, etc. and even accidents.

The lock, which has existed since 1865, was renovated in 1965 with concrete chamber walls and automated in 2004. The lock is activated using the request levers at the waiting points in the respective outer harbor. During operation in the summer months, up to 10,000 pleasure boats are on the move here. It is one of three locks that must be overcome on the way from Berlin to Scharmützelsee.

The Bugker Sahara is a dry sandy area that stretches to the Grosser Wucksee. Here you have a wide view over the sandy areas and primeval pines, where you can discover silver grass, mosses and lichens between the trees. Information boards tell you more about this special habitat.

For me, one of the greatest places ever. Next to an organic shop, there is this small cafe (also with indoor seating). Every two weeks, bread is baked in a wood-fired oven, which is very popular. If you want one, you should definitely order in advance. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and are happy to accommodate special requests. For me, the perfect breakfast spot
