Nice quiet swimming spot. Seems to have been redesigned: the wooden jetty has been replaced by a small staircase into the water, and the benches are also different. As the lake is large, the water is always a bit cooler than in smaller lakes nearby.

A route that's easy to drive, but also often quite busy.

The church and sculptures are certainly impressive and worth seeing. However, it's not an open church, so you can usually only view it from the outside. And the so-called garden with the sculptures is miserably overgrown, making it hardly a showcase for Wandlitz. During the tour, you'll sometimes trudge over bumpy grass, which might be difficult to do with dry feet.

The museum is something truly special. It offers changing exhibitions, hands-on activities, a tourist information center, and is also the nature park center for the Barnim district! The outdoor facilities are also absolutely impressive. You can get a close-up look at two large, vintage farm machines, with no admission charge!

This huge and incredibly heavy machine was built in 1900. It shows some signs of decay, but is certainly extraordinarily impressive. It's worth taking a closer look!

It's truly impressive that here, practically in the middle of a large forest, you can still find the old settlement of the GDR bigwigs completely preserved. Experiencing history up close, getting a firsthand impression, is truly possible here. --- Erich Honecker was, so to speak, the top gangster, the dominant ruler of this socialist state. - Also unusual, indeed absolutely astonishing, is the unrestricted access. All the houses are open, the properties are unfenced. No prohibition signs, just informative little information panels. - You can even walk all the way around.
