Status 04/2026: Due to the renovations of the locks on the Finowkanal, there will be long-term restrictions on the waterway. The Schöpfurt lock is currently closed.

The Schöpfurt lock in its current form was built in 1876. It was originally equipped with two lock chambers, one of which was filled in 1914. In 2006 it was completely rebuilt and will be automated in 2026. The formerly hand-operated lock is one of twelve locks in the Finow Canal. Today, it is operated by the water wanderer themselves. There are waiting areas for paddle and sports boats in the upper and lower lock areas. Dimensions: Lock chamber 41.05 m long, 9.60 m wide, upper gate 5.25 m and lower gate 5.29 m wide. The lift is 3.60 m.

The Italian restaurant Il Porto is located directly at junction 94. From the covered terrace you can see the Finow Canal at the Schöpfurter lock. There are several types of ice cream and a sandpit with play equipment for the children. Ideal for a rest with good pizza, homemade pasta & co. Open daily from 12 noon.
