The outward journey takes you through a lot of forest and great paths. In Neustadt Glewe there is great soft ice cream at the lock and the way back along the Elde is great.

From the observation tower you have a wonderful view of the Lewitz with its ponds, moors, canals, meadows and forests. Photographers with telephoto lenses get their money's worth here. You can skate here. But you don't have to. The landscape is beautiful, but the asphalt is terrible. It's better to get here on foot than hiker or by bike. This way you can enjoy the landscape much better than constantly being careful not to fall.
