The Ebbemoore lie in a quiet, wooded low mountain range with plenty of rain, which has allowed special moor landscapes with rare plants and animals to develop. Today you walk through near-natural forests, partly afforested areas and extensively used grassland.

Thanks to the spruce clearing, the Wilddiebsweg is now also free of forest. This has at least created a wonderful view over the Fürwiggetalsperre towards Lüdenscheid. But I would have preferred to have a dense, healthy forest again.

The ridge trail leads from Nordhelle to Schürfelde, near Meinerzhagen. Extensively paved and lined with mixed woodland, it offers beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding region.

Unfortunately, spruce clearing is also on the rise in the Ebbe Mountains. The downside: there are now magnificent panoramic views in all directions. Nevertheless, a healthy forest would be preferable.

At Buschhöh you can admire Scottish Highland cattle, including breeding bulls. It's the same breeding bull that can also be seen in Oberholte.
