There is a bit of rubbish lying around and unfortunately there is no bench, but the small path leads directly to the Trave

All country tours are approximately 20 to 30 km long, run along low-traffic or car-free routes, and are designed to invite you to explore or rediscover the diverse landscape of the Trave-Land district, far from the stress and hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the rolling hills of Holstein Switzerland, along picturesque lakes that invite you to swim, through enchanted deciduous forests and through idyllic villages to stately manor houses and, every now and then, country inns that invite you to rest. Nature lovers will especially get their money's worth, as many routes lead through or near nature reserves. Since some of the paths are unpaved, bicycle tires should not be too narrow.

In 2011, the Trave-Land District Office developed five cycling routes – country outings – for the district for the Segeberg Regional Exhibition (Regio-Schau). Under the motto "Experience the Trave-land District Office," these suggested routes are intended to invite visitors to the region, as well as residents of our district, to "experience" the idyllic landscape of the district. The overwhelming and positive response has encouraged us to continue this initiative. Many cyclists have provided us with valuable suggestions for improving the routes. Thanks to these tips, the public relations team was able to revise the cycling tours according to the wishes of cycling enthusiasts.

At the Drehbrückenplatz you can stock up on delicious fish sandwiches and then eat them comfortably on the steps to the Obertrave. A very popular resting place in the sunshine.

St. Matthäi is a listed neo-Gothic church building in Lübeck-St. Lorenz-Nord. Until the end of the 19th century, the entire urban area west of the Holstentor was served by the old St. Lorenz Church, which also gave the district its name. In order to accommodate the strong population growth in the district, the synod decided in 1895 to divide the area and build two new churches. One was the new St. Lorenz Church and the other was the Matthäi Church. The church was consecrated on Laetare Sunday in 1900, which fell on March 25th. The St. Matthäi Church was thus the first place of worship to be built in Lübeck in around 250 years. The new St. Lorenz Church, which was built at the same time, was not consecrated until Jubilate Sunday, May 6th, 1900. In 1978, the church was listed as a historical monument. The neo-Gothic building is largely preserved on the outside, but suffered damage in the air raid on Lübeck in 1942 and lost all of its artistically designed glass windows. The interior, such as the altar, was also changed. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Matth%C3%A4i_(L%C3%BCbeck)
