In 2020, the Gudenåen's natural course was restored and the water now flows again through the former "Døde å" and through the freshwater delta Klosterkær in Mossø. This gives the fish population better conditions to migrate further upstream in the Gudenåen.

Klostermølle is located in the heart of Denmark's most beautiful countryside. Klostermølle consists of a series of preserved old buildings, all of which are open to the public. There are also lovely outdoor areas, perfect for enjoying lunch al fresco or simply strolling in the stunning surroundings. In one of the old buildings, you'll find a small exhibition of posters and stories. Here, you can learn more about the history of the place and hear sounds from the time when the mill was active. The drying barn at Klostermølle is Denmark's longest wooden building. In the drying shed, you can still see how cardboard and paper were hung to dry. At the northern end of the 100-meter-long drying barn, a bird watcher has been built with views of Klosterkær and Mossø. You can walk all the way down to the small beach on the shore of Mossø, Denmark's fourth-largest lake. You can also take a walk along the old 1.3-kilometer-long mill canal. https://www-kystlandet-dk.translate.goog/kystlandet/planlaeg-turen/klostermoelle-gdk678091?_x_tr_sl=da&_x_tr_tl=de&_x_tr_hl=de&_x_tr_pto=nui,sc
