Herregården Hessel is Denmark's last four-winged, completely thatched manor house with roots that go back to the 14th century. Today, the historic walls house a museum worth seeing. In 1870, a census was held in Denmark. We know who lived on the farm at that time. The owners were Hans Christian Elle and his wife Christense and their three unmarried daughters. There was also a cousin of Hans and two nieces and the manager. There were also nine servants and three maids. How they all lived and worked on the farm is explored using a few examples during a tour. More information: https://herregaardenhessel.dk/
