It is a pleasant market place and especially in the evening it is beautifully lit: the town hall, the church, the water square and the tower and then the terraces around it, super pleasant

If you really want to enjoy the Cicindria, which is more than a babbling brook but is at the source of Sint-Truiden itself, you can do a walk of 5.7 and one of 2.9 kilometers "Walk in the Cicindria valley along Roman roads". It is also a perfect connection between Sint-Truiden and Brustem. Full information in the PDF file at https://www.visitsinttruiden.be/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/ST-Cicindriawandeling.pdf There they say about the Cicindriabeek: "The Cicindria rises in Jeuken and flows into the Melsterbeek after 12 km. Sint-Truiden originated on the fertile banks of the Cicindriabeek. Trudo, the founder of the city, came from an estate in Straeten. This hamlet was located at an important crossroads of Roman roads. A Benedictine monastery stood in this valley (Val St-Trudon) until the 13th century. In 1986, important archaeological finds were excavated along the Roman road, which can now be admired in the town hall on the Grote Markt".
