We hiked counterclockwise, so the climb was quite steep in places at the beginning. We found the route only moderately pleasant: for a long time, you have the view (and the noise!) of Hagfors behind you, and once you reach the top, you find an ugly electrical substation and—weather permitting—quite a few people driving up. The view from the tower is great, but if you're looking for Swedish tranquility in nature, you won't find it on this hike.

A lovely bench with a barbecue by the water in an enchanting place. We didn't have coal or meat with us, but otherwise we could have lit the grill!
