Idyllic spot off the beaten paths by the lakes. A small detour is worth it!

Very crowded and busy at the lakes. If you walk a few steps further, you'll find peace from the masses. A short hike away from the lakes is worthwhile

While tourists flock around the parking lots and lakes, I found a bit of peace here and can enjoy the beautiful views of the Picos. A short hike here is worth it.

My opinion about Lake Enol is that it is the most beautiful and spectacular of the Lagos de Covadonga, and one of the most special mountain landscapes in Asturias. 🌊 Iconic image: its deep lake, the reflected mountains, and the grazing cows create a perfect postcard. 🏔️ Sense of grandeur: it conveys more "high mountain" than Lake Ercina. 📸 Very photogenic: especially with light fog, at dawn, or after rain. 🚶♀️ Accessible: it can be enjoyed without long hikes.

Los Lagos de Covadonga is very positive: it is one of the most spectacular and emblematic landscapes in northern Spain, especially Asturias. 🏞️ Breathtaking natural beauty: the Enol and Ercina lakes, surrounded by mountains and meadows, are truly photogenic at any time of the year. 🌿 Feeling of pure nature: even when there are people, the environment conveys calm and grandeur. 🚶♂️ Simple routes and walks: there are easy trails to enjoy without being a mountain expert. 🚴♂️ Mythical for cycling: the climb is legendary in the Vuelta a España.
