The village of Strontian offers a well-stocked village store and cafe on a large green with picnic bench. It's a rare opportunity to find shops in the area, so worth a stopping at.

This is an excellent restaurant and cafe, with lodge-style self-catering or bed and breakfast accommodation. The cafe serves home-cooked food, and features a shop selling handmade items spun from wool.

Strontian is a great base from which to explore with some excellent rides. There are two hotels serving food, campsite, bunkhouse, loads of B&Bs, two cafes, a mini-supermarket and a post office with a shop attached.

This is all dog walking area, but the tight bends here make it easy to sneak up on people. You're allowed to ride here - 2003 access legislation applies to cyclists and pedestrians provided they behave responsibly.
