Passing point before starting the ascent of the Buscagna stream, to reach Lake Negro, Mount Cazzola, Scatta d'Orogna, or to head towards Alpe Veglia

Hiking through the pristine Val Buscagna is a truly special experience. The open expanse on one side and the rugged mountain range on the other create a fantastic contrast. Add to that the ever-changing light and always vibrant colors, depending on the season. It's one of the most beautiful high valleys in the Alps.

A very nice place to stay in the picture-perfect mountain village of Crampiolo. The Piedmontese dinner (2016/2017) is still considered legendary by us.

Some people like the top one better than the bottom one. To be safe, I make both. Also, at Alpe Sangiatto there's a large stone table. If you want to set the table, let me know and I'll be right there.

Just above the lower Sangiatto lake, there's a large outdoor stone table that seems to invite you to take a break, or even a meal if you've brought your own.
