Wandering Cloud
October 20, 2025, Collegiate Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kartuzy

This impressive church, built by the Carthusian monks between 1383 and 1405, is unmissable! It is the best-preserved Carthusian church in Poland. Inside, it boasts magnificent historical furnishings: an altar from 1444, Baroque choir stalls, and chancel walls upholstered in Flemish cordovan. And the exterior? The roof is shaped like a coffin!

We took the PKM from Borkowo station to Babi Dół station and from there we took the blue trail back to the car. This is the most difficult and beautiful hiking trail in Pomerania. I highly recommend it!

There is plenty of space here to park your car. There is also a place to rest or have a picnic right next to it. A great starting point for a walk through the Radunia Jar.

Archaeological research shows that stone circles are one of the types of burials. Ancient records indicate that these were places of meetings of elders, deliberations and courts of local communities. (https://szwajcariakaszubska.com/159-szwajcaria-kaszubska-kamienne-wesele-w-tratkowcy)
