We also had to realize that the railway cycle path has seen better days in some places. Many cracks in the asphalt and on the edges. In May 2026, there were hardly any cyclists around, so we could easily ride around the mentioned spots. A really beautiful landscape and tour from Zlocieniec to Polczyn-Zdroj .

Good starting section for wilder areas of Szwajcaria Połczyńska :)

The wooden tower catches the eye, although it seems aesthetically a bit independent of the rest of the lattice-constructed building :)

The promenade in Czaplinek is a picturesque section running along the shore of Lake Drawsko – one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in Poland. The route leads through a well-kept area with benches, piers and viewing points, ideal for a break during a bike trip. In the summer, the area is full of life – there is a swimming area, a marina and catering points. The promenade is a great place to relax, watch the water and sunsets.

This guide features four dedicated traffic-free gravel bike routes around Jez. Resko, offering a mix of easy and moderate options for various skill levels.
Yes, the Lake Siecino in Cieszyno – Rail trail in Cieszyno loop from Siecino is an easy, traffic-free option. It's a 21.5 km loop with minimal elevation gain, perfect for a relaxed ride.
The longest route featured is the Eisenbahner Railway Path – Rail trail in Cieszyno loop from Kłącko, spanning nearly 60 km. It offers a moderate challenge with around 375 meters of elevation gain.
All the routes in this guide are designed as circular loops, allowing you to start and end at the same point without needing to retrace your path. Examples include the Village church Linowo – Złocieniec Sign and Park loop from Dołgie and the Forest parking with shelters – Fire Access Road 1 loop from Dołgie.
The trails primarily utilize former railway paths and forest access roads, ensuring a smooth gravel surface with minimal traffic. You'll experience a mix of open landscapes and forested sections, typical of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.
While specific highlights are not detailed for these routes, the Jez. Resko region is known for its natural beauty, including lakes and historical sites. The routes often pass through picturesque countryside and offer views of the surrounding natural landscapes, such as Lake Siecino on one of the featured tours.
Spring and autumn generally offer the most pleasant conditions for gravel biking around Jez. Resko, with milder temperatures and beautiful scenery. Summer can also be enjoyable, but be prepared for potentially warmer weather, especially on exposed sections.
Many forest paths and rail trails are suitable for riding with well-behaved dogs, especially if they are accustomed to running alongside a bike. Always ensure your dog is on a leash where required and be mindful of local regulations and wildlife. Remember to carry water for both yourself and your pet.
The routes often start from villages or designated areas like Kłącko, Siecino, or Dołgie, where public parking may be available. It's advisable to check the specific starting point of your chosen route for detailed parking information.
This guide includes both 'easy' and 'moderate' difficulty routes. The 'easy' routes, like the Lake Siecino loop, have minimal elevation and shorter distances. 'Moderate' routes, such as the Eisenbahner Railway Path or the Village church Linowo loop, are longer and feature more significant elevation changes, requiring a bit more fitness.
The routes primarily traverse natural and rural areas, so amenities like cafes or shops might be sparse directly on the trails. It's recommended to carry sufficient water and snacks. You'll likely find services in the larger villages or towns near the start/end points of the routes, such as Cieszyno or Dołgie.
