Besides a beautiful view of the polders from the lookout tower, you'll also see something else striking: three dead trees, in the shape of a triangle. The original plan was to build the lookout tower as a kind of treehouse in these three poplars, but that proved too dangerous. Ultimately, the lookout tower was built next to the poplars, and the poplars were transformed into a work of art, with four wooden cormorants as the literal highlight.
