I know the inn very well, here you can eat and chat very well, sit in the beer garden and watch the water flow, from time to time a car but otherwise everything very quiet with 2000 souls living here.

Caution: The dikes on both sides of the Ammer River are dead ends. There is no way to continue to Diessen from here, nor is there any way to reach the lake. The dikes end at a break in the road or in thick vegetation.

The Holy Water of the Mechtildis Fountain When the sun shines on the northern Schatzberg in the early morning hours, people with eye problems should rinse their eyes with the water from the Mechtildis Fountain. It might help. A good sip of the healing water is also said to cure stomach ailments. I can't promise it, of course, but it's a truly beautiful place for a rest.
