The eastern slope of the Glaubenberg Pass offers wonderful views time and again – better enjoyed on the ascent than on the descent!

Autumn is one of the best times to do the Glaubenberg Pass when the lower part of Lucerne is under a heavy fog cover, it is a nice climb to view the sun and also a great natural spectacle with sea of fog and only the peaks are showing from all of the nearby mountains. Avoid the climbing the eastern part from Sarnen on the weekends. The traffic is very heavy. During the weekdays, the climb has significantly less traffic. The climb from the west side of Glaubenberg is a lot easier.

Glaubenberg Pass does not carry a big name like the Gotthard, San Bernardino or Pass Julier but it is just as spectacular. High advisable to do this climb on a weekend to avoid the automobile traffic as this does increase substantially on the weekend. The street on its self is paved with nice soft and well kept asphalt, no potholes or pizza face surface.

The Kernwald Forest offers a beautiful gravel path that winds through lush greenery, perfect for a leisurely touring bike ride. As you pedal along this well-maintained road, you will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of dense trees and filtered sunlight, creating a canopy above your head. The path gently winds through the forest, offering occasional clearings with views of the surrounding hills.
