Part of the Mario Kart Chishan track. Power Upgrade: Cheesy coffee advertisements under lonely trees and people clogging up the street because they want to hug the famous coffee tree. It helps to collect an invincibility star and rush through.

We rented Giant bikes from Giant in Taitung. Best to book them, especially if you are after large sizes. We were told that there are only 10 large bikes to rent from Giant on the island. Touring panniers come with the hire, but it wasn't possible to hire helmets from the bike shop. Check the winds for this 200km road ride ( this was just our first afternoon on the route) as I was told doing it the opp way ie. south to north is kinder when the wind is up.

This is where the locals meet. Just leave the bike for a day or two and enjoy the beautiful sea.
