The best time for a sighting is early morning (between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM), when the fishing boats return. The turtles are attracted by the fish waste that goes overboard when cleaning the nets. In addition to the harbor basin, the De-Bosset Bridge - the longest stone bridge over the sea worldwide, as well as the adjacent Koutavos Lagoon, also offer excellent views of the swimming animals.

The church of Agios Spyridon is located in the heart of Argostoli, right on the central pedestrian street Lithostroto. The church has been documented since the mid-18th century. After the devastating earthquake of 1953, the building was almost completely destroyed and rebuilt directly opposite its original location. The tower's bells remained undamaged at the time. It is an important religious and cultural landmark of the island. Every year on August 11th, a solemn procession starts here in memory of the victims of the 1953 earthquake.
