Near Vinica (in Slovenia) there is a small border crossing, from which it is not far to the Croatian motorway A1. Near Jurovski Brod, the Croatian Državna cesta D6, coming from Karlovac and continuing as Glavna cesta 105 on the Slovenian side, crosses the Kupa river and thus the border. In the vicinity of Karlovac, it leaves the previously north-south direction and runs in an east-west direction, following the river course. The Karlovac–Ljubljana railway line also crosses here.

For me, this is the most beautiful view of this idyllic town! Here is a small island, accessible via a bridge, with a platform and a kind of wooden frame, making for a wonderful photo panorama.

A wonderful nature trail begins here, about a half-hour walk down into the village. The castle itself is well preserved.
