June 6, 2025, Mjólkurbú Flóamanna Dairy Factory & Skyr Museum

Building replica of a former dairy factory now a food court with a skyr museum in the basement.

The center has something of an open-air museum or outlet shopping center. The buildings are replicas of houses that either burned down or were demolished elsewhere in Iceland. Each house has a plaque with its history. A small Skyr Museum is set up in the basement of the former dairy (now a food hall). It's truly lovingly designed, and the collection of historical exhibits is impressive – unfortunately, most of them lack explanations, making it somewhat difficult for the general public. Phase 2 of the center is currently under construction.

Originally constructed as a railway bridge, but never used as such. The central section of the building next to it is the oldest building in Selfoss.

The Ölfusá is a river in the south of Iceland. It arises from the confluence of the two rivers Hvítá and Sog south of Þingvellir and flows from there into the Atlantic.
