There are many options to stop here at the top. We know them all and have tried them all. But for many years, the Hahnenkammstüberl has been our first choice. They serve the best Kaiserschmarrn in Tyrol here. And the blueberries are still picked by the boss herself. Usually open from the beginning of July until the first weekend in November. Then 10 days of rest, until the winter season.

The short path up to the upper summit cross of the Steinplatte is so crowded on some days that I settled for the lower cross today. But the climb is worth it, as always.

Hiking along the Eifersbach stream in St. Johann feels like a little break from everyday life. The steady rush of the clear water accompanies you like a soothing carpet of sound, while the fresh, cool air from the waterfall invigorates the senses. The path winds through dense forest, with repeated glimpses of the roaring water cascading over rocks. It's a soothing blend of natural power and tranquility – a true experience for body and soul.

A really great idea that was created and implemented here, how the dinosaur comes out of the water, tells its story and dives back down. In order for this phenomenon to happen, you can press the red button 😎 Really exciting, for young and old.

Beautiful wooden walkway through the gorge. Secured with a steel cable as a railing.

You get to see some really great nature here, which you can really enjoy thanks to the wooden paths. A small warning: the path is not continuous, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
