The market square is located in the upper town of Ehingen, lined with government buildings and shops. Weekly markets, annual markets, flea markets, and Christmas markets take place here. The charming, lively town center invites you to stroll and linger, with an exceptionally high number of small, locally owned shops. The town hall stands on the south side of the market square. The historic market square proved to be an excellent location for open-air concerts in the summer of 2024. Status Quo and the Spider Murphy Gang performed there. Sine Gotthard, Krokus, and Bonfire are planned for 2025. In the summer, this central meeting place in the heart of town also features the open-air market square cinema.

The Holy Spirit Hospital was founded around 1340 through donations and gifts from Ehingen citizens. In the 16th century, farm buildings and the so-called New House stood here, grouped around a courtyard. The farm buildings no longer exist. The New House served various purposes until 1976, most recently housing apartments. The building was extensively renovated between 1977 and 1984. The municipal museum opened here in 1985.
