The white-red-white hiking trail leads directly past the small shelter here, which is itself protected by the large rock behind it. From a distance, this makes for a brilliant photo opportunity.

In high summer, from the village of Trin in the valley below, the Alp Mora bus goes as far as Purcs, as the station is called. But beware, the bus only runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays, this year from June 27 to August 29, 2026. In the vast majority of cases, the bus is used to visit the potholes on Alp Mora, which is why it is often fully booked. Therefore, purchasing a ticket before the hike is recommended. Strollers and bicycles are not transported. Further information: https://trin-verkehrsverein.ch/

The lake now boasts a beach, several bathing islands, and pedal boats. Two-thirds of it is fenced in, making it impossible to reach the shore. The natural beauty is so magnificent, yet it has been completely ruined. The photos don't reflect reality!

Swimming in clear, cold water is a dream. After 5 p.m., there are no lifeguards in the fenced-off area. In summer, it's easily warm enough for a cooling dip. Otherwise, there are many small, free swimming spots on the other side of the lake. A fantastic place.
