Beautiful view of Mochental Castle from below

Despite the relatively prominent location of the "White Cross," which presents itself here—at the intersection of several trails—many bikers will likely simply roll past without paying much attention to the depiction of the cross. But from my—admittedly purely subjective—perspective, this towering, small, sacred monument, which reminds us of the crucified and risen Christ (and thus our hope for our own resurrection and eternal life with God), certainly deserves a short break along the way.

You unexpectedly see a sign on the house pointing to Chrisi's Café and Pottery. The entrance is around the corner. You can also see the lovingly designed outdoor area and the numerous pottery figures and elements. Comfortable chairs invite you to linger and if it's still cool there are blankets. It's just as cozy inside, the bell calls the boss and the wonderful cake or other dish is served with the drink of your choice. A small oasis far away from all the hustle and bustle. A nice stop on a gravel tour. Open Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Web: www.chrisiscafeundtöpferei.de
