The Märzenbechertal (Snowflake Valley) lies southwest of the village of Landgrafroda in the Ziegelroda Forest. It is a narrow valley whose slopes are covered with beech and oak trees. Here, the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum), also known as the snowflake, has become widespread and, during its flowering season between late February and early April, creates a unique spectacle. A carpet of millions of white blossoms of this protected plant attracts numerous visitors from near and far to the Märzenbechertal every year. Designated a protected natural monument since 1989, it is a must-see for every nature lover! (https://www.querfurt.de/seite/328990/m%C3%A4rzenbechertal.html)

It's as much a part of Hermansecke as salt in soup; the deer have plenty of space to roam in the spacious enclosure.

The head forester was the first to have a mixed forest planted. This beautiful monument is rightly erected for this.
