We took a small detour, the path from the church takes about 45 minutes. After all, we wanted to treat ourselves at the inn. You can eat very well and deliciously at the Gasthof Schwarzlack. Two people can always find a spot. Reserve in advance if necessary.

The Schwarzlack pilgrimage church dates back to a hermitage from 1659 and a hermit named Georg Tanner. Originally built of wood, the foundation stone for the present stone church was laid in 1750. A fire in the almost completed church delayed the consecration until 1767. Since then, the church, with its fine, uniform Rococo furnishings, has undergone little change. https://www.brannenburg.de/orte/kirchen/wallfahrtskirche-heilige-maria/

A postcard idyll. Very nice view over the Inn. The bridge itself is less attractive, but it is guarded by a statue of Saint Nepomuk.
