Nice old village well, but it doesn't work and is supposed to be more reminiscent of the old drinking water production in the village.

Directly in front of the bridge (on the "eastern" side) are 2 old warhead shafts embedded in the ground! They look like well tops, which were supposed to stop the invasion of Soviet troops in the Cold War (tank blockage through destroyed bridges + deep craters)! Until well into the 1980s, the shafts were regularly checked by the Bundeswehr. South of Helmerkamp is the registered nature reserve "Müsse" (so-called rare alder-ash-Bruchwald). The forest area passes through the small river Wiehe, which is a natural, flowing water with crystal clear water!

Very calm cookie in the shade. When hiking with a dog, the four-legged friends are looking forward to a break.
