Like every other town, Schwarzenbek also has its war memorial. It is located a little way off in a piece of forest.

Here, in a small area, there are some beech trees that are reminiscent of a pasture forest.

A smooth, two-lane paved path leads past the old pheasant house. Whenever I pass by here, I always take some time to look at the pheasant house and the hunting pavilion. From the pavilion, you have a beautiful, expansive view of the surrounding fields. It's a good place for a short rest. The pheasant house, built in 1928, has unfortunately become increasingly dilapidated in recent years and is now nothing more than a ruin. You can still clearly sense how romantic and idyllic it must have been here once. Today, it's still somehow a mystical and fascinating place. The outbuilding is a little further from the pheasant house toward Gülzow. It has also been abandoned for some time and is also nothing more than a ruin. It deteriorates more and more every year. I find it exciting to see what will become of these buildings, and especially the properties in this beautiful location. The pavilion a little further on was very well restored some time ago and has become a real gem. The last two photos show the Pheasant House and the pavilion in 1997. Back then, the house was in even better condition, and the pavilion hadn't yet been restored.
