The St. Jürgen Monastery near Rambin was founded in the 14th century as a hospital for lepers. Later, a small complex with a chapel and residential buildings for the needy was built here. Today, it is a tranquil, historic site that brings Rügen's eventful past to life.

The brick building consists of several, clearly different elements, which goes back to the construction times in different eras. The wooden tower is probably the most recent part. Unfortunately, we were only able to see it from the outside.

Larger farmers' market. Here you can buy gifts, decorations and souvenirs, etc. There is also a huge selection of liqueur, pasta, tea, sweets and much more. There is also a self-service restaurant. The smoked fish is highly recommended.

The chapel "Zum Heiligen Kreuz" in Bessin, a district of the municipality of Rambin on Rügen, is a Gothic eight-sided brick building. The church was donated in 1482 by Matthias Darne, a mayor of Stralsund. It stands on a sand-lime brick base and has a roof covering with monk and nun tiles, which is separated from the foundation walls by a German band. Externally, the chapel still looks as it did when it was built. Inside there is a flat wooden ceiling decorated with medieval paintings. Several consecration crosses decorate the walls. The church furnishings include a baroque pulpit altar from 1742/43, box pews from the 18th century and a holy water font from the Middle Ages.
