The field path between the resting place in the forest and Götschendorf is already an insider tip. Idyllic, quiet, and relaxing. The views of the wide meadows and farmland are enchanting. But the many locust trees growing here can be even more inspiring. You can observe them up close. They have incredibly gnarled trunks, many carry mistletoe. All absolutely worth seeing. An experience! - The entire marked section of the field path is almost exclusively lined with locust trees on both sides! Cycling would be quite possible. In the wooded area near the road, there are still many gnarled locust trees on the field side.

Right on the edge of the quaint village of Groß Kölpin lies this farm, which specializes in Highland cattle. The pastures can be admired all around, even up by the road, unmissable if you come from Milmersdorf. - Even the nameplate is absolutely impressive. The operators have style, so big praise to the Limber family! On the back, a huge boat catches the eye, which has just been standing there for quite a few years. In the background, a giant oak tree stands out. The ambiance is truly inspiring, a kind of Gesamtkunstwerk of nature, rural life, architecture, and technical equipment.

At this conspicuous intersection, there are also a few spruces. The turn-off to the right leads into a very charming wooded area, where you can also find mushrooms. However, it ends at the large clearing in the back. To the left, you can easily reach the Kölpinsee and a beautiful swimming spot on a somewhat wild forest path. However, anglers with their boats often hang out there. At the swimming spot, a great path begins along the lake shore. You can walk there quite well and find more swimming spots. You have great views everywhere!!! - However, you probably shouldn't do it, because far from here, behind the fishery property and the tiny Hahnwerder, almost at the extremely lonely Mistelhof, there is a sign with a clear indication. This is a special protected area that you are only allowed to enter on designated hiking trails. Only the few residents have all the privileges and to that extent this discrimination is not entirely understandable. You are even allowed to drive to the fishery. It is specially signposted, both from Götschendorf and from Groß Kölpin, although you shouldn't try that with a normal car due to the difficult terrain anyway. In addition, you will be deterred by a stupid prohibition sign at the fishery property. Access is apparently prohibited. Not a trace of a sign indicating fish sales! The whole thing is pretty nonsensical.

The willow immediately catches the eye with its overhanging main trunk. As is often the case with willows that are not regularly pruned and maintained, the tree has shattered. A charming sight in any case. - It stands directly on the edge of the path in a depression, whereby the large area was fenced off for many years as a cattle pasture. It has apparently only been accessible since 2025/2026. Shortly behind the small forest, at the ditch, you could even walk across to the Kölpinsee and the great official bathing spot, and of course get to know the enormously charming hilly landscape of the Uckermark up close. "Up close" means: directly in the terrain, i.e. not on a path.

Ants have settled in the shattered tree and built a truly huge structure. Curious. Very rarely found anywhere in this form!

It's exciting to see how big such small creatures can build without any tools.
