This beautiful mural in the style of the 1920s is located on the facade of the former "Café delikat" coffee house & delicatessen in the corner building at Eisenbahnstraße 1. In 2019, the owner sold the property, including the building on the corner of Eisenbahnstraße/Hauptstraße, to the regionally well-known Hennig family of bakers, who opened a new branch there.

The idea of adding a touch of beauty and visual interest to his home and workplace came to sculptor Wolfgang Anlauf, who has lived in Neuenhagen since 1993, during a discussion in the early 2000s. It was striking that the town didn't actually have any artwork in a public space created by a Neuenhagen resident, despite the town being home to many artists, sculptors, actors, writers, and musicians. With the redesign of the station forecourt for the town's 775th anniversary, the project became a reality. The bronze sculpture of Hans Fallada was created in 2012 by the Neuenhagen sculptor Michael Klein and erected in front of the town hall. The figure sits on the lower step of the theatron in front of the entrance to the new town hall extension. Fallada's youngest son, Achim Ditzen, was also present at the unveiling.

A school in Neuenhagen is first mentioned in the chronicle in 1716 in connection with a certificate of appointment for the sexton and teacher Jacobus Flöricke. The sexton's house at that time also served as a school. It was destroyed by fire in 1810 and replaced two years later by a half-timbered building with a tiled roof, which contained a schoolroom for all the children of the village in addition to the sexton's apartment.wikipedia

The church in the village of Neuenhagen was built around 1250 (according to other sources, only in the 14th century) as an early Gothic fieldstone church with a transverse tower and a gable roof on the nave. It is located on the village green in Carl-Schmäcke-Straße. It was probably Cistercian monks from Münchehofe (Mönchshof) who built a "Neuenhof" as a branch and church village. In addition to the tower core, the lancet windows on the east gable from the time of construction have been preserved.
