An absolute highlight in autumn!

A beautiful lake in a very quiet location. There's an official swimming area not far from the dovecote, which also offers the best views. Otherwise, swimming in this lake is a bit difficult due to the many large rocks, but it's possible. The northern shore (from the swimming area) is completely inaccessible, but the southern shore is easily accessible along a rustic path.

The lake is very clean, and this great swimming spot is quietly located. A large parking lot is just 100 meters away. Facilities include a long wooden jetty, a level access to the water, exactly four benches (two of which are new and very sturdy), and a proper covered rest area with a table and benches! Just being here and enjoying the view is completely worthwhile. There's plenty of space along the gentle slope, even if it gets quite crowded in hot weather. A small forest stretches behind the benches. Advantage: The location is sheltered from the wind. Disadvantage: You sit in the shade (almost always!). In the heat, shade can certainly be an advantage.

The detour to the lake is worthwhile; it's simply pure nature. You can even take a break right by the water.

It's only open on weekends and during peak season. At least you can look out the window a little. There's not much more to see when you're inside. It's a special museum because of its tiny size. But also because there are a few rare mulberry trees right next to it that have grown magnificently in just a few years.

This tiny but nicely restored church (half-timbered building) in a really isolated location has already achieved a certain fame as a concert venue. It is dedicated to cyclists. A small hermitage with a primitive snack offering (sausages with salad) is right next door. The history of the simple building is also special, of course, because it is a so-called poor man's church, and in olden times this was expressly demanded by the common people against the resistance of the authorities. The Count of Redern, a large landowner in the surrounding area, played a prominent role in this. Unfortunately, the very close motorway is a negative point, which creates a somewhat unpleasant background noise and thus somewhat devalues the experience of nature. Inside, however, the church is a small refuge and offers all the peace and quiet needed for worship. - Warning: At concerts, only very few spectators fit in, who then have the dubious pleasure of sitting on really hard wooden benches for a certain amount of time. No religion without drudgery and pain.

At the entrance to the town there are two impressive, ancient oak trees that are considered natural monuments. Both are in a healthy and magnificent condition. These mighty trees give the town a special atmosphere and bear witness to the region's long history. It is worth taking a short stop to appreciate the size and charisma of these oak trees.
