The Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape Biosphere Reserve: Since 1996, the area has been an official UNESCO biosphere reserve for the preservation of natural diversity. Native animals: snakes such as adders, grass snakes and smooth snakes, sea eagles, wolves and even elk. The latter rarely comes here.
