The observation tower offers a good view of the Rennsteig Trail and the Thuringian Basin. Opening hours: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The snack bar next door is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
