The German School is a significant half-timbered building dating from 1681 in the small town of Schleusingen in southern Thuringia. The Henneberg-style timber frame stands on a sandstone base and is covered by a hipped gable roof. The building has been municipally owned since 2017. Long periods of vacancy have left their mark on its structure. Following extensive renovation and restoration, a guesthouse and inn will revitalize the historic building located next to the new bus station.

Nice viewpoint. The stamping point is not here, however. It is about 4 km away, at the Schwarzen Kuppe (Hinternah).

Anyone interested in motorway construction is in the right place here. There is also a view as far as Schleusingen. This is because the road is deeply cut and the bridge is therefore at a corresponding height. Impressive and in a certain way interesting.

The Bettlersbrunnen above Fischbach in the remote Limpertal is one of three health fountains. Their discovery goes back to Count Wilhelm VII of Henneberg. Their waters were said to have healing powers. This is what is written on the plaque.

Here on the cycle path there is a small rest area with a small spring right next to the lock. If you want to take a quick break, this is the right place for you.
