From May, you can float down the river here. The Frankenwaldsteigla Lamnitzpfad also starts here. This could lead to a competitive situation for the few parking spaces.

Great inn. We had a great schnitzel and fries, along with toast, even though the kitchen was already closed. Thank you.

Great destination especially when it has rained heavily or people are passing through on rafts

There's no signal at the trekking site or in the surrounding area. 🚫 Otherwise, it's a lovely spot that offers everything you need (a stream, fire pit + wood, rainwater tank, composting toilet, and two wooden platforms for your tent). 🏕 It's a bit of a shame that the large platform (site no. 1) is directly visible from the hiking trail.

The water tower also serves as an observation tower and offers fantastic panoramic views of the Franconian Forest Nature Park. The climb is worth it!
