Beautiful footbridge over the Waldnaab

Impressive chapel. Just stop for a while, light a candle and pull the bell rope...

perfect bike path for a trip with the family

For me, this is the most boring cycle path in our region. Kilometers of straight ahead with no highlights apart from a bridge that makes no sense.

The route is not challenging at all, but it is very varied! There is a lot to see.

You can see the chapel as you approach from the bike path, but you wouldn't suspect it to be a chapel. The exterior seems very closed and uninviting at first glance, but the interior, as simple as it is, is surprising. The smell of fresh wood (the chapel was built in 2022) also contributes to this.

Beautiful little chapel with a large space to linger and reflect. Candles are available and lighters too.

The beautiful (pedestrian) bridge made of metal struts meanders across the river and provides an impressive photo opportunity. It can be reached after about 2 km on a gravel path from the car park in Tirschenreuth. Right next to it is a table with benches for a picnic and of course you should also visit the "Stairway to Heaven" in the immediate vicinity.
