2026, Witzenhausen outdoor pool abolishes cash. My absolute favorite destination in Witzenhausen so far and the best outdoor pool far and wide. 🖐️🏊🩳🛟🥽😎 However, after 5 stars so far, now only 3 due to the new ticketing system which is discriminatory from 2026. Municipal facilities, including the Witzenhausen outdoor pool, can of course also provide cashless access; this is also supported by me. Legally, they remain obliged to ensure access with cash, while disregarding social reality and knowingly denying it by the local press, within the scope of participation. Is it not already enough non-swimmers, regardless of already changing leisure behavior with fewer and fewer swimming pool visitors (unless the outside temperature is between 28 and 30 degrees)? Do there have to be more and more? 🤔

Now also with a relaxation bench right on the heathland, with a view of the Hirschberg. Thanks to the Dreierhütte team for making this happen 🍀

A well-preserved viaduct of the Gelster Valley Railway, located directly on the cycle path. Here's some more information: The Gelster Valley Railway was opened in 1915, during World War II, and used for passenger and freight transport until 1973. Freight service was discontinued in 1983.
