This makes a museum visit so much fun. I can highly recommend the visit. Admission is free. There is a donation box for the upkeep of the museum, which we were happy to fill.

The local history museum has been located in the Burmesterhaus since 1927. This is a craftsman's house from the end of the 18th century, which was also used as a part-time farm. The extensive collection was initiated by the teacher and founder/director of the museum Wilhelm Sieck.
