The Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche (Holy Cross Church) is Offenburg's oldest Catholic parish church and one of the city's most important historical buildings. Its origins date back to the 13th century. After being largely destroyed in the city fire of 1689, it was rebuilt on the preserved foundations in the style of Vorarlberg Baroque architecture. With its 68-meter-high tower, it is Offenburg's tallest building. Particularly noteworthy are the magnificent Rococo high altar from 1740, the Gothic choir with preserved medieval wall remnants, the Josefs-Chörlein (Joseph's Chapel) with a Renaissance crucifix from 1521, and the historic Ölberg (Mount of Olives) next to the church, which is considered one of Offenburg's most valuable art monuments.

The Kastellbad in Rammersweier (Römerbad) This small, well-preserved cultural monument is located north of Offenburg in the district of Rammersweier. Special feature: It is a very compact bathing building (approx. 11.5 x 4.3 meters). Primarily, the brick foundations of the ancient heating system (hypocaust) are visible. The structure of the warm bath (caldarium), the lukewarm bath (tepidarium), and remains of the cold bath (frigidarium) can be recognized. A highlight is the tiny, circular sweat room (sudatorium), which offered space for exactly one person. Location: It is situated in a small commercial area on Moltkestraße in Rammersweier and is freely accessible.

The St. Nikolaus Church has its origins in the Middle Ages. It originated from an early chapel and was later rebuilt and expanded several times. The holy Nicholas as patron shows the long ecclesiastical tradition of the place. Over the centuries, the church was and remains the religious and social center of Gamshurst to this day.

There are two different memorial sites. Near the northern pedestrian and bicycle tunnel (a sandstone block in front of the bicycle parking garage), the death of 40 forced laborers on the station grounds is commemorated. They were disposed of on the spot in a mass grave. At the eastern staircase (between Goethe- and Carl-Blos-Straße) is the memorial site for the large-scale deportation of Jewish Baden residents.
