A very good hiking and cycling route leads along here amidst beautiful nature 💚. The paths are occasionally a bit dirty from the sheep, but otherwise top-notch 👍🏻.

A beautiful cycle route along the dike with partial views of the Elbe River. Many sheep graze nearby, so ride with caution; they usually don't budge. There's a snack bar along the route, a children's playground, and access to the beach and the Elbe. The Elbe crossing is also visible from the shore. This tour is highly recommended.

I passed this flood warning sign on July 31, 2025. It's very important to know when looking for land due to rising sea levels. You can see my tour here: https://www.komoot.com/de-de/tour/2450927699

This highlight is on one of the tours I occasionally repeat. It's the tour titled "Participants ADFC After-Work Tour MH," which you can also check out. The masts, which commemorate past flood disasters, can also be found, for example, at Haseldorf Harbor.

It's frightening to see how high the water was during the storm surges. May the dikes hold.
